Slick Roads Overnight
Roads in the Bear Lake area are currently very slick, with spin-outs occurring at speeds of 30 mph or less. As of 10:39pm tonight, the Gaylord office of the National Weather Service issued an advisory:
"* A COATING TO TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ICING IS EXPECTED. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS OF ICING WILL BE FOUND OVER THE HIGH TERRAIN OF NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN.
* FREEZING RAIN...MIXED AT TIMES WITH SLEET AND SNOW WITHIN THE HIGHER TERRAIN...CAN BE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. FREEZING RAIN WILL ULTIMATELY CHANGE TO JUST RAIN OR DRIZZLE VERY LATE TONIGHT AS TEMPERATURES WARM BACK ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK."
